1. Old Hunstanton Beach: A Haven of Tranquility
Old Hunstanton Beach is (in our opinion), the most striking of the local beaches on the east coast of Norfolk. The rock formations and cliffs are instantly recognisable and feature frequently in Norfolk photography.

Wide teachers and scenic views: Unlike the busier main beaches, Old Hunstanton boasts wide, soft sands backed by picturesque dunes and iconic rust and white striped cliffs which photograph wonderfully due to the contrasting orange, reds and chalky whites. The shallow waters are ideal for wading and snapping refection shots of the cliffs. Hidden amongst the boulders, an ancient shipwreck is visible at low tide.
Many locals use the beach for kite surfing, paddle boarding and even paragliding, so it’s always possible to get some action shots as well.

2. Snettisham Beach: A Nature Lover’s Paradise
Snettisham Beach offers a unique coastal experience with its unspoiled beauty and abundant wildlife.

Nature and Wildlife photographers: This beach is part of The Wash, a renowned haven for birdwatchers. The nearby RSPB Snettisham Nature Reserve is home to flocks of wading birds, especially during migration seasons. It’s a must-visit for those passionate about wildlife, especially if you’re fortunate enough to catch a “Snettisham Specatular.”
